Once a month or even a year is just not enough time to bring our gifts before the Lord, especially as a child. Children need as much time as possible to exercise their intrinsic abilities so that they can learn at a very early age the importance of investing time and energy in their hidden treasures. A lot of times adults are resistant to providing enough time and space for a child to learn themselves, their gifts and talents, strengths and weaknesses. However, children master whatever it is they give themselves time to develop. You would be surprised how good they are at navigating the internet, playing video games and outdoor sports, only because they have spent time and a lot of it doing those activities. Now, given time and space, children’s church will accelerate the opportunity for your child to hear the voice of God like Samuel did in the temple. If we take “fast hold of instruction,” according to the scripture, our children will be more interested in being a part of God’s kingdom then they ever would enjoy the opportunities that this world would love to offer them. When those times shall come, they will say, “I have no pleasure in them.” Ecclesiastes 12:1 Children’s church can only benefit your youngster – encourage them to participate.
